Wanted something that would mount nicely and easily in our unfinished basement and did not want to spend too much money. My wife and I both excercise in a home gym in our basement and have recently started doing P90X. We quickly grew tired of lacking this one important component of our nicely equipped home gym - this pull-up bar was the perfect complement. Instructions were fairly simple and easy to follow - all hardware was included and adequate for proper mounting. Took about an hour to install, only because of the height and tight spot where I was installing, but otherwise it was a straight-forward installation. We've been using it for about 5 weeks now and are both happy with this purchase. The only recommendation would be better grips. Where you place your hands, the steel is etched/notched but can be a little hard to hold onto -- foam rubber would have been a nice addition. We are currently looking for an add-on that won't make the grip too thick but will provide a bit more comfort. Not sure if other bars had the foam grip option, but otherwise we are happy with this pull-up bar and feel it was a decent value for the money.
